They did a great job and were very accommodating with regard to the schedule of events for the evening. As is typical of this type of event, there was a large cross section of ages in attendance and the music was spot on for our crowd. They accommodated us by playing numerous songs off of a "requested song" list we sent them, and everyone loved hearing all those great old songs! Rick and the other guys were especially nice in being willing to learn, and play, "My Wish," for my husband's first dance with the bride. Charlie was especially appreciative to have this special song for this very special time. GroomA+++ for the Coconut Groove Band. We had them play for our wedding (roughly 100 attendees for an indoor reception). They were extremely easy to work with before the event in coordinating the day of schedule, song for first dance, etc. Arrived in plenty of time to get their sound check done before guests arrived. Played every single song that we suggested (and rocked them all). People of all ages were on the dance floor immediately having a great time. They even did an encore ‘Happy Birthday’ for our triplet cousins that were also celebrating their birthday on the same day. Could not have asked for anything more. Dan M.

GroomThe band was perfect. In fact most everyone we have talked to said that they were the best wedding band that they have every heard. They were great with our crowd, played awesome songs, sounded great, and were just generally the exact right band for our reception. They did a spot-on rendition of "Swept Away", and they kept going strong. It was fun to talk briefly with some members afterwards who just as appreciative of our energy and enthusiasm as we were of theirs. I would recommend this band to anyone for a wedding or other event! Groom10/10! Incredible band. incredible performance. I wanted to find a band with the most talented musicians with the best set list. I am confident that I could not have found anyone better than Coconut Groove for our wedding. They made this an evening my wife, family, friends, guests and I will never forget. It was perfect.
I used to be in a touring band back in my college days, so there was tremendous pressure for me to knock it out of the park with the band selection. I was not going to settle for anything other than spectacular. The musicians, set list, and performance all had to be there. I took a risk by hiring a non-traditional wedding band and I couldn't be happier with my selection. These guys rocked. They turned the wedding into a concert. And the crowd went wild.
When I heard Coconut Groove on youtube, I was instantly sold. As good as their videos are, they sound that much better in person. Rick was fantastic to work with and delivered exactly as promised. He played all the first dance songs, played cocktail hour, during dinner, and during the dance portion. Rick shreds a guitar. Everyone shreds vocals and their respective instruments.
The entire dance floor of the wedding was packed the whole night and everyone absolutely LOVED the band. I received compliments from guests of all ages that the band was one of, if not, the best bands they had heard at a wedding. It was more like a concert than a wedding. This is exactly what I was looking for in a band.
Terry and ECE were fantastic to work with as well. I will most definitely recommend ECE and Coconut Groove to anyone in need of a top notch band.

BrideThank you SOOOO much for recommending Coconut Groove Band for our wedding. They were SO AMAZING. I think every single guest must have approached me to rave about them. I sent Rick a list of songs I liked. Not only did they play every single song, they somehow guessed all of my favorite songs and played them too. It was so amazing. They made our whole wedding.
The best part was at the end. I was already so thrilled with their whole performance and thought they were done when they played Casey Jones. It wasn’t on their song list but I mentioned that it would be my married name and they played it for me and did such a good job. It was indescribably special.

4th of July at Wild DunesCoconut Groove KILLED IT on the 4th. EVERYONE was having a blast through the entire thing. Crowd was cheering for an encore and an encore after that. Band only played the first encore and was awesome at diffusing the crowd. Would definitely have them back.
