Five kindred souls that radiate immense musical talent, personality and versatility!! The band formed in early 2014 when guitarist/vocalist Dave Haywood received an open invitation to perform with drummer John Woodward at a well known Charlotte music venue. That night sparked the idea to assemble focused, like-minded instrumentalists capable of performing virtually any musical genre. Their old friend, Joe Milano, quickly filled the role of bassist. An internet search led to the discovery of session vocalist, Lindsey Tripp and the line up was competed with the 2015 addition of keyboardist Pete Lents. They have achieved critical success due in part to the bands ability to execute request based medleys infusing top 40 pop with funk, jazz, disco, rock, country, rap and beyond. In early 2015, Dave Haywood and Pete Lents were awarded 'Best Guitarist' and 'Best Male Vocalist' in their home city of Charlotte.

BrideThank you so much for recommending the Fifth Divine. They were absolutely INCREDIBLE! Our entire crowd loved them and everyone was dancing the whole night including myself, the bride!!!!! Everyone was covered in sweat by the end of the night because we all danced so hard. They are a great group, so kind, and they really put on a show! Dave, you were so great to work with. I will absolutely write a review and recommend to anyone looking for great service and a great band. Thanks for all of your help

WeddingWe were a bit nervous because we'd never seen Fifth Divine live before but we had no reason to worry AT ALL. We had the best time at our wedding because of Fifth Divine. They were fantastic. The dance floor was always full with old and young. They sounded amazing and had so much energy. I would 1000% recommend them to any couple. You know they're good when your grandma comes up to you and says "I can't stop moving my feet!!". I also can attest to seeing a lady standing on her chair at one point. THANK YOU FIFTH DIVINE! Y'all killed it.

Davidson University EventI hope you're doing great as well. Â We really enjoyed Disco Lemonade; they were very communicative before the event about our wishes and played exactly the types of songs that we wanted! Â I had a lot of compliments from event-goers about the band. Â They really gave our event the type of atmosphere that we wanted. Â Thank you so much for all your help in finding them! Chandler G.

BrideFANTASTIC! The Fifth Divine had us on Cloud Nine! Dave was so wonderful to communicate with as we got ready for the big day. And they just made the night! They read the crowd and kept the party going 100% whole night! Powerful voices, awesome band, the best party!

BrideThe Fifth Divine was PHENOMENAL! My husband helped pick this band and what set them apart were the vocals - so powerful and so much soul. We didn't give too much guidance on what we wanted, and we didn't have to- the dance floor was never empty! Our favorite part was that they just totally felt what the party was feeling and even got us on stage to sing along for a song! My only advice if you're going to hire this band is to ask your hairdresser to put in extra pins and hairspray because you will be dancing so much! We loved them so much and are so grateful to have had them as part of our wedding

WeddingFifth Divine far exceeded our expectations! They were awesome! Our guest were out on the floor dancing the whole time. After the wedding, we heard from so many guests about how awesome the band was - it was so fun to hear about how everyone enjoyed it! They were great at reading the crowd, and knowing exactly what to play. Dave was great to work with throughout the whole process. Fifth Divine is sure to please, and I would recommend them for anyone who is looking to have an awesome selection of music!

Mother of the BrideMy daughter's Wedding included 160 guests. Every guest told us it was either "One of the Best" or the "Best" Wedding they have attended! The band, Fifth Divine, was a key factor in the Wedding's success! The 5 band members were professional and such talented musicians! Both the male and female vocals were absolutely exceptional! The female vocal Lindsey Tripp started singing Etta James' "At Last". For a moment, I thought it was Etta James singing! The male singer, Dave Haywood's voice was better than the original song's singers! Many times throughout the evening, they played a variety of songs to please all ages! Also, the band played music that brought everyone on the dance floor together through line dancing, singing songs and displaying the same hand movements throughout a song! We were all blown away by Fifth Divine!!

BrideEverybody is still talking about the wedding. You guys were amazing. You floored me by performing Hava Nagila and singing the words in Hebrew! I expected just an instrumental version. The dance floor was packed the entire night. Thank you so much. Best wedding ever!

WeddingThe Fifth Divine was OUTSTANDING! We were thrilled with this band. On Wednesday before the wedding, Dave called me to discuss the songs we would like for them to play at our reception. They played all of the ones we discussed and did a great job. They were eager to play requests from our guests and interacted with everyone on the dance floor. We had asked for classic rock songs from Journey, Kansas, Toto, as well as music from Earth, Wind, and Fire, Bruno Mars, and Michael Jackson. They sounded great no matter the genre of music they were playing. My father and I danced to "Brown Eyed Girl," my husband and his mother danced to "How Sweet It Is," and as our first dance, my husband and I danced to Matthew West's, "The Day Before You." All of these were superbly done. I would highly recommend this band to anyone. They were so conscientious and wanted to make sure we were happy with their performance. We would have them to play again without question. AWESOME BAND!

BrideI must say that Dave Haywood and Fifth Divine were fantastic. The performance was killer, our guests loved them and even gave comments they were one of the best wedding bands they had experienced. I think it was the amazing diversity and range of their songs that really pleased everyone. Personally, I can say that Dave is so easy and fun to work with. Really enjoyed being able to share a bit about us and then he was able to incorporate that into the song list etc. He also did a fabulous/professional job of presenting at the wedding etc. Also, the voice of the female lead was incredible. I had a chance to speak with her personally as did a friend….she was so great we wished we could become best friends with her.
I can say that friends of my family down there are planning to contact you to look about booking them for her daughter’s wedding. If there is anything I can do to promote them and help get them more opportunities…please let me know. I am also sharing with Danielle Seagle, the Wedding & Event Coordinator at Oldfield Plantation that they should think about working with East Coast Entertainment as preferred vendor.
Thanks again and enjoyed the chance to work with you after the old UNC College days!

Wedding PlannerI also wanted to tell you how amazing this Saturday's band was at the Grove Park. Thank you so much for hooking me up with them. It was the first band I've dealt with who had an MC who was good on the mic and on top of things, and one of few bands who appreciated a detailed timeline and didn't complain. ;)
They were super fun and just plain nice and I will definitely be asking for them more in the future. :) Have a great day!

Company PartyThe party was AMAZING and the President of the company and his wife told me that it was the best party we ever had. That dance floor was not empty the entire night and they convinced me to come up and sing with them. We would like to secure Fifth Devine for our party next year. Tommy H.

Bride and GroomThe band gave such a great performance at our wedding reception in July. They were also very responsive and professional to work with. We especially liked how they let us pick the songs we wanted played beforehand…and they actually played them. All of our guests gave the band raving reviews and no one left the dance floor all night. They played two encores for the crowd because everyone didn't want the night to end.The Fifth Divine was definitely key to what we thought was a perfect wedding reception. We would wholeheartedly recommend this band to any of our friends. Thanks so much to your team at East Coast Entertainment for all of your coordination efforts. Colleen & Mike
